Just Announced: NEW KMTA e-Festival; 2020 Competition/Honors Recital

Greetings Fellow KMTA Members!

KMTA 2020 e-Festival

The Kentucky Music Teachers Association is excited to announce the inaugural KMTA e-festival!

In light of recent developments with COVID-19, KMTA is offering an alternative event to in-person festivals traditionally held by local associations in the spring. The KMTA e-festival is an online-only performance opportunity where students receive constructive comments and a rating as well as chance to qualify for the State Honors Recital.

Important information regarding the KMTA e-Festival:

  • The KMTA e-Festival is not intended to supersede or replace current local association festivals, but rather serves as an alternative to festivals that have been cancelled due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines. We encourage ANY and ALL KMTA teachers and students to participate in the festival.
  • Entry fee is $15.
  • Submission deadline is May 29, 2020.
  • More information about requirements can be found on our e-Festival page.
  • You can register, upload repertoire, and submit links to student videos on the e-Festival Registration page.
