Conference Information and Dates
KMTA members, Kentucky MTNA Collegiate Chapters, and non-members are invited to submit proposals for the 2024 KMTA State Conference. The 2024 State Conference will be held Friday and Saturday, September 13-14, at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Please submit proposals on the KMTA website no later than May 1, 2024.
Collaborative sessions, as well as presentations applicable to all instruments, are strongly encouraged. You may also recommend a colleague you feel would contribute to an interesting and valuable session. We are particularly interested in creative and interactive presentations that reflect current research related to music pedagogy, professional development, performance and literature, wellness for musicians, community outreach, diversity/equity/inclusion, and more. All presenters must register for the KMTA Conference.
Conference Sessions should be 45 minutes in length and address topics related to the above list. KMTA members wishing to present should submit a proposal that adheres to the guidelines listed below.
Lightning Rounds are brief 5 to 7-minute presentations that focus on a single topic, example, idea, project, or technique. They do not attempt to cover all aspects of their subject matter but present one facet of the idea clearly and succinctly. KMTA members wishing to present should submit a proposal that adheres to the guidelines listed below.
