High School Vocal Competition

Bellarmine University Music Dept., in collaboration with the Louisville Chapter of KMTA, will be hosting a Vocal Competition for High School students on Sunday, May 1, 2022. The event will begin at 12:00 pm and will be limited to 30 participants. Registration closes Monday, April 18, 2022.
Each participant will offer 2 selections – 1 classical and 1 musical theatre. There are no foreign language requirements and there is a $25 registration fee for students of KMTA members and $35 for non-KMTA members to help pay for the accompanist honorarium during the event. The accompanist for the event will be Dr. Karen Yong, MTNA member.
Bellarmine Music Dept. will sponsor 3 top prizes – 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, and 3rd Place $150. Participants will receive constructive feedback on their performances from 3 voice/singing professionals in the Louisville area.
